Located in the heart of Salt Lake City, this dual-branded hotel pairs the sophistication of Le Méridien with the modern style of Element. For HKS Architects, I provided select exterior photography, architectural interiors of the Sky Lounge bar, and aerial drone imagery.

Like many out-of-town shoots, this project required careful coordination from start to finish. I flew into Salt Lake City to scout the site with the lead designer, working closely with the photography coordinator remotely and the hotel management team on-site. Shooting in a busy downtown metro location with an active, wide-open hotel—complete with restaurants and public spaces—meant timing and precision were essential. We also secured FAA approval to operate the drone in the area, adding an aerial perspective to the portfolio. By collaborating seamlessly with all parties and adapting to the vibrant energy of the space, we captured the images needed for HKS Architects’ portfolio and for the hotel’s design award submissions—with excellence from every angle.
